Window

It's hard
To watch the day
Through the window pane
Of what the world might hold

It breaks
The soul
The heart
To be stuck between four walls
That feels as if they are caving in

Its hope
The bird bring
As it passes by
Gleaming sad eyes
That peers through blinds

It's my mind
That I'm tapped inside
Watching the day wave by
Through the windows of my eyes
Waiting for my release
